"Thank you for putting out your book on Ultra Black Hair. At the time that I inquired about a book on hair I had problems with my hair. I was going bald and my hair started to fall out. Thank you for putting the book out. Because if I didn't have the book I would be still bald and still going to the doctors office for my condition alopecia. Now I have new growth and my hair is growing. Thanks ever so much."

"I shared the conditioner with my sister and you should of seen her hair. She suffers from lupus and had to wear a wig before because her sides were breaking. After using your conditioner not only did she get her sides back but hair got so long a little longer than yours on the front cover of your book. I just wanted to say thank you for writing both books. And your website is great."

You're absolutely correct we have been living a myth about the care of our hair and just this past week, I was thinking why a doctor has not found the answer. You know, folks now have lips injected to look black and have breast implants; but nobody sparked the market on really growing "Black hair."" I will lift you before the Lord in that in the coming 10 years, not only will your book have sold tremendously but that many people will be blessed by your three years of research."

"I really do love your wonderful book. I have only been using your system for 5 weeks. I really have seen a big improvement in my hair texture. I have a problem hair condition; I had a curl and my beautician put a relaxer over my curl, my hair was falling out until I started your system. I have a good length, but was thinning out quite a bit. I thank God for you. You are an answer to my prayers. I love you and keep on saving the sisters hair."

"I want to commend you for writing such a detailed step-by-step publication on the care of Black hair. It not only blew many well-worn fallacies away but provided positive steps that we must take in order to maintain and grow our hair. I am now in the process of purchasing the conditioner and dew moisturizer and look forward to great results!"

I am currently using your deep conditioner and dew, as well as having read your book too! You did an excellent job on disseminating correct information about black hair. I am grateful to you. Thanks! Keep up the great work.

I hope that you and your family are well. Your hair gallery photos are excellent. It's Marsha from Barbados with another update on my hair. I will try to work on getting some before and after photos to you soon. My hair is continuing to grow very nicely and it is getting thicker as well. I always had problems with the back but I remember you said to apply the products to the nape and back of the hair and I must say it is the thickest it has ever been. I find that my hair is so "spoilt" now and it loves to be pampered. Imagine I used to wash my hair every two or three weeks in the past and it would seldom itch. Nowadays, Cath, after the third day my scalp itches like MAD! It has got so used to being clean often that it retaliates after a few days of not being clean.

I love your products! I just placed another order for your conditioner and moisturizer. I washed my hair on Saturday, but Cathy I did put a Vigoral liquid hair relaxer on the new growth (I have about 3-4"). I was concerned about breaking my hair because of the new growth while the other hair that's the oldest may also break off because of the tugging and pulling, so I decided to give myself the Vigoral relaxer, just to take the "kink" out. I was supposed to leave the relaxer on my hair for 20 minutes, but I left it on my hair for 10 minutes. I then gave myself a conditioner using your Ultra Black Hair Conditioner and sat under the dryer for 30 minutes. I then used your Dew moisturizer twice that day. I moisturized twice the next day and so on. I washed my hair again last night (3rd day) and did the same. I have to tell you that my hair appears to be dry if you were to look at it, because I used no blow dryer, no curling iron, nothing other than washing, conditioning, and moisturizing. But when I combed my hair, now this is what it's all about.... I had very little hairs that was in my comb, in the sink, etc. Even though my hair appears to be dry, (I guess we're so accustomed to our hair having oil, that it just looks dry), my hair is so soft. In fact when I got finish washing and conditioning and moisturizing my hair on Saturday, I couldn't keep my hands out of my hair.

I'm telling you this because like anything, you want to put it to the test to see if it's really all that it claims to be; so I put it to the test sort of speak, and on Sunday it was the same thing, Monday the same, and Tuesday the same; hardly no hair in my comb. This is tooooo exciting. I got up this morning and sprayed with the moisturizer and realized that I had to place another order because I don't want to run out of these products. I have a question though, is there anything that you could recommend in the way of a crème moisturizer that I can use as well as your moisturizer? I've tried QP Elastra Oil Moisturizer, Luster's Pink Lotion, and others. My hair soaks it up, but I don't want my hair to me weighed down. Please help!

Also just wanted to share with you something that I read on one of the web sites regarding "hair tips". This professional person stated that she did not trim her hair for 18 months and she had no ill effects and her hair still grew. I found that to be quite interesting because here is another person that agrees with you. I always got very scared when I went to the salon to get my hair trimmed because the stylist always cuts off more than they really have to. It's kinda nice not to be bothered with that - I will get my hair trimmed every 6 months to a year. In the meantime I'm trying to practice good hair maintenance with your moisture-maintenance system and hopefully this time next year, I will be 6" longer.

Thank you,
Mary
Ms. Howse,

I've been visiting your site, I would like to know how old are you? I was thinking you must have been younger than me (35) until I read the response that you have used MaryKay For 30 years. I have your book, I brought it a year ago. My Hair then was 18 inch long, now it's 23 1/2 inches long. In 1995 my hair was about 5 inches long and I start taking care of it and it began to grow like weeds. I agree with your book 100% it only take common sense and not miracle drugs to achieve hair growth. People are constantly asking me, what did put on my hair to make it grow so fast? when my response to them is nothing, they look at me as if I lying. I trimmed my end back in 1997, my mother swear that if you keep the ends trimmed that it would grow faster, so right then and there I stopped trimming the ends, and it's still growing!!!
I wish you much success. May God continue to bless you richly!! It's some copycat web site out there but, my motto is a simple one, If sound to good be true it is. Your website is very upfront and honest. Keep it real Cathy like you're doing.
