Cathy's black hair care tips are created from questions received in emails on the website. I welcome all email questions. Because we have never been given this type of information before, many questions are generated as a result of it from proper black hair care to the correct black hair care products we should use.
  1. I get my hair done at the Dominican salon every 5-7 days, is this sufficient enough washing of the hair?
  2. I use IC Hair Polisher with Aloe Vera to moisturize daily. It is not greasy, is that a good moisturizer?
  3. Is Precise relaxer a good relaxer? My hairdresser prefers Creme of Nature.
  4. I thought IC Hair Polisher was moisturizing my hair because it was so soft!
  5. I read somewhere that too much protein can cause breakage on people with already dry hair, is this true?
  6. I am interested in buying Dew, does it make the hair wet and frizzy?
  7. I have lived with my wife for over 11 years and she struggles with short hair problems and wears extensions. I know her hair was longer when she was younger, can this help her?
  8. If I use the conditioner every 3 days, how long will it last?
  9. What other moisturizers do you use besides Dew?
  10. How long will it take to get the products and does it matter if I pay by check or credit card?
  11. If I use your system can I use cheaper conditioners over the counter?
  12. I disagree and believe that trimming keeps the hair healthy!
  13. After all these years, shouldn't your hair be long enough to sit or step on?
  14. You are doing a disservice to African Americans telling them not to trim their ends. Check out Wanakee's hair it is down to her waist, she must be doing something right.
  15. My hair stylist recommends a protein treatment every 6 weeks, is this your recommendation?
  16. After the conditioner my hair felt really dry and rough, is it the protein that makes it feel this way?
  17. I do not want to go back to relaxers, is a texturizer okay?

  27. Your Dew contains mostly water - my point is you are basically selling a bottle of water.
  28. Also silicone from what I know can build up and cause the hair to be dry. Not meaning to knock you but what do you have to say about this?

Note: Please keep in mind that some questions can be answered rather quickly, others can not due to time constraints. Quicker responses come from short emails.
